Siedle trainee is crowned best in state

One of the state's top trainees served her apprenticeship at Siedle in Furtwangen. Bettina Frisch was unable to attend the award ceremony on November 11th in Heidenheim: The recently graduated Industrial Clerk is currently travelling through Australia as part of a nine-month work and travel program.

Aspects of the apprenticeship in the Furtwangen-based family firm which intermediate secondary school graduate Bettina Frisch particularly appreciated were the constructive atmosphere, the great community spirit among the trainees and the possibility to discover her own strengths: She was given opportunities such as the chance to advise Siedle customers at trade fairs and in the company's showroom within the "Stilwerk" design store in Berlin. "Nothing is impossible - where there is a will, there is a way": This is the invaluable lesson Bettina Frisch has taken away from her training period with Siedle. This determination is certain to drive her on to achieve her next goal: A well-paid job as a harvesting assistant in the Yarra Valley wine-growing district in Melbourne.

And then? "It is my job to recruit good personnel", grins Michael Schonhardt. So he is staying in regular e-mail contact with the grape picker on the other side of the world.
Proud to take receipt of the award: Siedle Head of Training Michael Schonhardt with moderator Katrin Bauerfeind and Dr. Hans-Rüdiger Schewe, Vice President of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Commerce.
